Beyond the mats, Palawan Grappling Academy is deeply rooted in the San Pedro community of Puerto Princesa. What started as a few kids rolling on borrowed mats has grown into a movement — one that uses Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as a tool to build discipline, confidence, and connection in a place where opportunities are scarce.

Through our non-profit partner Youth and Nature Philippines, we run free outreach sessions for local youth, giving them access to coaching, mentorship, and a safe space to grow. Many of these kids had never set foot on a mat before; today they're competing, helping teach younger students, and becoming leaders in their own right.

Every membership and donation directly fuels this work — covering mats, gis, travel to competitions, and the day-to-day costs of keeping the academy doors open to everyone, regardless of background. When you train with us, you're not just learning jiu jitsu. You're helping turn it into a vehicle for real, lasting change in our neighbourhood.
